Mercedes-Benz denied the claim when the client presented it alone. Court House Lawyers documented the repair history the way the statute contemplates, filed a formal repurchase demand, and secured the full buyback — then negotiated away the mileage offset entirely, returning $5,250 the manufacturer was otherwise entitled to keep. The firm's compensation did not increase as a result. In California lemon law, the manufacturer pays the attorney fees, and Court House Lawyers takes no percentage of a client's buyback.
